SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police along with security forces have arrested four associates of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militant outfit in Tral town of Pulwama district in South Kashmir on Wednesday and recovered incriminating materials from their possession.
“Four militant associates identified as Mudasir Ahmad Naik, son of Farooq Ahmad Naik and Inayat Firdoos Rather, son of Firdoos Ahmad Rather — both residents of Tral Payeen, Umar Nazir Sheikh, son of Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Kuchmulla and Salman Nazir Lone son of Nazir Ahmad Lone resident of Kounserbal Tral have been arrested along with incriminating materials,” police said in a statement.
“All the arrested militant associates were involved in providing logistics support and transportation of arms & ammunition to the active militants of proscribed militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad in Tral and Awantipora areas of Pulwama district,” the statement said.
In this regard, a case vide FIR No.134/2024 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Tral and further investigation has been initiated. — (KIMS)
