Four persons booked under PSA for anti-national activities in Baramulla: Police

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said that four persons were booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district for their involvement in anti-national activities.

Police in a statement said, Acting tough against anti-national elements, Police in Baramulla booked 4 persons under Public Safety Act (PSA) for their involvement in anti-national activities after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.

Four persons identified as Javaid Hussain Yatoo, son of Farooq Ahmad Yatoo of Goshbugh Pattan, Jan Nisar Khaliq Ganai, son of Abdul Khaliq Ganai of Chanderhama Pattan, Abid Parvaiz Hajam, son of Parvaiz Ahmad Hajam of Andergam Pattan and Nisar Ahmad Wani, son of Late Abdul Samad Wani of Sultanpora, Pattan have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu, the statement said.

Pertinent to mention here that many cases are registered against these persons for their involvement in anti-national activities, the statement said, adding despite their involvement in many FIRs, they did not mend their ways. — (KIMS)
