G.M. Shaheen Meets Lieutenant Governor, Highlights Border Issues and Tourism Revival

Srinagar: G.M. Shaheen, President of Jammu & Kashmir Janta Dal United (JDU), along with Youth President Amjad Razvi, called on Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today and apprised him of several critical issues concerning the welfare of families affected by unprovoked and heavy shelling from across the border by Pakistan.

During the meeting, Mr. Shaheen emphasized the urgent need for permanent bunkers to be constructed in the border areas to ensure the safety and protection of residents.

He expressed concern over the continuous targeting of innocent civilians by Pakistan and stressed the importance of safeguarding border communities.

In addition, Shaheen appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to take concrete measures for the revival of the tourism industry in Kashmir, which has been significantly impacted in recent times.

Responding to the concerns raised, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha assured Mr. Shaheen that steps are already underway and that the tourism industry in Kashmir will witness a strong revival in the near future.
