Generally dry weather in J&K till Dec 3: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Thursday forecast generally dry weather in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir till December 3rd.

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, “Today, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in Jammu and Kashmir.”

He said, “The weather is expected to remain generally dry in the Union Territory from November 24th to 26th.”

He said, “The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy in the Union Territory from November 27th to 28th.” “Similar weather conditions will prevail from November 29th to 30th with light rain and snowfall at isolated higher places of the Union Territory,” he said.

He said, “The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in the Union Territory from December 1st to 3rd.”

He said, “Shallow to moderate fog is likely to continue over many places of Kashmir division till November 28th.”

Meanwhile, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded minus 0.8°C, Anantnag minus 3.5°C, Qazigund minus 0.4°C, Kupwara 0.2°C, Kokernag 0.7°C, Gulmarg 0.4°C and Pahalgam minus 1.8°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Thursday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 11.6°C, Katra 10.0°C, Batote 6.5°C, Bhaderwah 3.9°C and Banihal 3.0°C as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded minus 6.0°C and Kargil minus 3.8°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
