Govt allocates four districts to each minister for better coordination, implementation of programmes

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — To ensure better coordination, effective implementation of developmental programmes, closer monitoring of public services, and addressing other related matters, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has allocated four districts to each minister.

According to an official order, Jammu, Poonch, Anantnag, and Shopian districts have been assigned to Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Kupwara, Srinagar, Kathua, and Samba districts have been allocated to Minister for Health and Medical Education, School Education, Higher Education, and Social Welfare, Sakeena Itoo, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, will oversee Doda, Rajouri, Pulwama, and Baramulla districts, Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives, and Elections, Javid Ahmad Dar, has been entrusted with Ganderbal, Budgam, Kishtwar, and Ramban districts, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science & Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports, and ARI & Trainings, Satish Sharma, will manage Reasi, Udhampur, Kulgam, and Bandipora districts.

This strategic allocation is aimed at improving governance and ensuring efficient delivery of services across the Union Territory. — (KIMS)
