SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday ordered winter vacations for all Government and recognised private schools up to Higher Secondary level in the summer zones of Jammu Division.
According to an order, pre-primary to Class 5 will observe vacation from December 22, 2025 to January 10, 2026, while Classes 6 to 8 will remain closed from December 26, 2025 to January 10, 2026.
For Classes 9 to 12, the vacation period will be observed from December 29, 2025 to January 10, 2026.
The order further states that all teaching faculty shall remain available for academic activities during the vacation period and must report back to their respective institutions on January 10, 2026.
It also warns that any failure by Heads of Institutions or teaching staff to adhere to the schedule will attract strict action. — (KIMS)
