Govt must create conducive atmosphere for Kashmiri Pandits return: Farooq Abdullah

SRINAGAR — National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has urged the government to create a conducive atmosphere in the Valley to enable the return of Kashmiri Pandits.

“The government must release the salaries of Kashmiri Pandits and ensure security to enable their safe return,” The Tribune quoted Farooq Abdullah as having said.

He was speaking at the all-party meet called by the government to discuss the agenda for the Budget Session of Parliament starting Tuesday.

Farooq flagged the situation in the Valley and apprised the all-party meeting of the recent targeted killings, seeking government intervention to ensure safety of Kashmiri Pandits
