KATHUA (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday apprehended one hardcore criminal and booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Kathua and lodged at district jail Udhampur.
On 12 April 2025 Police apprehended one notorious drug peddler namely Liaqat Ali S/o Sharief Mohd R/o Korepunnu Tehsil Marheen district Kathua who was habitual drug peddler involved in possession and transportation of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances in different NDPS cases at district Kathua as well as Punjab state also.
In order to prevent the illegal activities in drug trafficking in the district, “Dossier” was prepared against the accused person and sent to the Divisional Commissioner Jammu for his detention under PIT NDPS Act- 1988.
Accordingly Divisional Commissioner Jammu issued a detention warrant against the accused person under the PIT NDPS Act. The warrant has been executed and he has been lodged in District Jail Udhampur. — (KIMS)
