Hotel catches fire in Ramban, two dead

RAMBAN (KIMS) — Two persons died and five others were injured after a hotel catches fire in Sanasar area of Ramban district.

According to reports, fire broke out in hotel Maa Shanti in Sanasar tourist place area of Ramban district, leaving two persons dead and five others injured.

They said, the injured persons were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.

Soon after the incident, fire tenders were pressed into service and the fire was brought under control, they said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Zia, has ordered inquiry into the fire incident in Hotel Maa Shanti at Sanasar.

He appointed Sh. Harbans Lal Sharma, JKAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, as an Inquiry Officer into the incident.

The Inquiry Officer shall be assisted by Tehsildar, Batote and Assistant Director, Fire and Emergency Services, Ramban. — (KIMS)
