Indian Army’s 50 RR hosts Iftar party in Kakapora

PULWAMA — To foster and reinforce the spirit of peace and communal harmony, an Iftar Celebration was hosted by Indian Army’s 50 Battalion (Rashtriya Rifles) of Kakapora Cob In Pulwama on Saturday.

Large number of locals, senior citizens, media faternity, SDPO Kakapora, SHO concerned, lamberdars etc. participated to celebrate the iftar with the noble goal of strengthening the bond between locals, Police and the Army.

The local populace and community leaders participated with a full zeal to offer the Maghrib prayer and to pray for national harmony.

The officials expressed their hope that such events will go a long way in further strengthening the existing bond between Awam and Indian Army.

Advocate Basheer Ahmad Kakpori while attending the celebration said, “The function organised by the Army is a step towards uniting different communities. We, wholeheartedly, welcome such initiatives.” — (KIMS)
