Intense cold conditions continue in Kashmir

SRINAGAR — Intense cold conditions continued in Kashmir valley and Ladakh region as the Meteorological Department office on Tuesday forecast cold, dry weather with partly cloudy sky in the Union Territory.

“Cold, dry weather with partly cloudy sky is expected in J&K and Ladakh during the next 24 hours,” IANS quoted an official of the MeT department as having said.

He said, Srinagar recorded minus 4.4, Pahalgam minus 7.2 and Gulmarg minus 9.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Jammu region he said, Jammu recorded 3.6, Katra 5.0, Batote 0.1, Bhaderwah 0.2 degrees Celsius while Banihal recorded minus 1.4 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said Drass recorded minus 20.8 degrees Celsius, Kargil minus 17.2 and Leh minus 14.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
