SRINAGAR — intense cold wave continues to sweep Kashmir Valley and Ladakh as the Meteorological Department office on Tuesday forecast dry weather with isolated snow at higher reaches of valley.
“Mainly dry and cold weather likely in J&K during next 24 hours with isolated snow on higher reaches”, IANS quoted an official of the MeT department as having said.
He said that Srinagar recorded minus 4.8 degrees Celsius, famous tourist destination Pahalgam which received fresh snowfall on Monday evening recorded minus 6.7 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg recorded minus 5.9 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
In Jammu region he said, Jammu recorded 2.5 degrees Celsius, Katra 6.9 degrees Celsius, Batote 2.2 degrees Celsius, Banihal 1.9 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah minus 0.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
In Ladakh region he said, Kargil recorded minus 10.0 degrees Celsius and Leh recorded minus 11.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
