Intermittent light to moderate rain at most places of J&K till July 9

Generally cloudy weather with intermittent thundershowers at few places from July 10-14, MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Saturday forecast intermittent light to moderate rain or shower at most places of Jammu and Kashmir till July 9, 2023.

Rain lashed plains while higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir including famous tourist destination Pahalgam received light snowfall during the last 24 hours which brought down the normal temperature.

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, Today, intermittent light to moderate rain or shower is likely at most places of Jammu and Kashmir with possibility of heavy to very heavy showers at isolated places over Jammu Division and Kashmir Division.

He said, On July 9, 2023, Intermittent light to moderate rain or shower is likely at most places of Jammu and Kashmir with possibility of heavy showers at isolated places of Jammu Division.

He said, From July 10-14, 2023, Generally cloudy weather is expected in Jammu and Kashmir with intermittent thundershowers at few places towards evening or early morning.

Meanwhile, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 14.9°C, Anantnag 14.4°C, Qazigund 14.6°C, Kupwara 14.3°C, Kokernag 13.2°C, Gulmarg 7.8°C and Pahalgam 10.8°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Saturday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 24.6°C, Katra 20.2°C, Batote 16.7°C, Bhaderwah 17.1°C, Banihal 14.8°C, Udhampur 23.4°C and Patnitop 16.6°C as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 8.5°C and Kargil 10.0°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
