J-K Govt forms committee to enquire wrong distribution of Class 12th question paper

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday formed two member committee to enquire about the distribution of wrong question paper to the students of Class 12th.

The School Education Department (SED), Government of Jammu and Kashmir has formed two member committee, comprising of Director School Education, Kashmir and Director School Education, Jammu to enquire into the incident of distribution of wrong question paper to the students and submit the report within seven days.

According to an order, “The committee shall enquire into the incident of wrong distribution of 11th class question paper to 12th class students appeared in the Board examination on 20.03.2024 (Wednesday) by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE).”

“The committee shall also look into circumstances of the cancellation of the examination and fix the responsibility for negligence at supervisory/Administrative level,” reads the order.

“The committee shall co-opt any Chief Education Officer (as required)/other officer and submit its findings/report to the Administrative within seven days,” it read.

On Wednesday, the students of Class 12th were in shock when Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) distributed the question paper of Physical Education subject of Class 11th to them in the ongoing annual exam.

Following the incident, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) postponed the exam and said that the paper will be rescheduled. — (KIMS)
