J&K Deck Hockey team emerged victorious in first ever tournament

SRINAGAR — In an exciting and closely contested final, the Jammu & Kashmir Deck Hockey Team emerged victorious in the first ever national ball and deck hockey tournament.

The team, comprised of skilled players from all over Jammu Kashmir. The team battled their way through the tournament’s knockout stages to reach the final, where they faced off against the Haryana state team.

The final was a tense affair, with both teams trading blows throughout the game. The J&K took early leads and emerged victorious.

The tournament, which was held over three days at Chitkara University, Punjab and featured teams from across the country was a huge success, drawing large crowds of spectators who enjoyed the thrilling action on display. The Jammu and Kashmir team was presented with the winners trophy.

The tournament was attended by officials from World Ball and Deck Hockey Federation. The officials included Mr Jarsolav the Chief executive, Mr Ondrasek Michal Technical and Equipment Director, Mr Cacko Roman Refs Director, Mr Benoit Ferland Director Middle East and Africa, Mr Breza president Slovak Dek Hockey Federation.

Speaking after the final, team captain, praised his teammates’ performance and said that winning the tournament was a dream come true. “We worked hard and played with heart,” he said. “This victory means a lot to us and we’re proud to have brought the trophy back to our community.
