JKSSB aspirants awaits to get airlifted from snow bound areas in north Kashmir

BARAMULLA — As several roads in north Kashmir districts including Kupwara and Bandipora districts remain closed for vehicular movement due to heavy snowfall, scores of JKSSB aspirants are waiting to get airlifted from snow-bound areas for examination.

The aspirants from remote areas including Gurez, Tulail, and Karnah said that they are waiting to get airlifted from their respective snowbound areas as the road, connecting them with the district headquarters, remains closed due to heavy snowfall.

“Many SSB aspirations are stuck at Tulail Gurez, they have to appear in the upcoming Finance Accounts assistant exam on 6th March 2022. My request to @OfficeOfLGJandK @owais_ias kindly arrange some air sorties for these aspirants so that they can attend the said exams (sic),” Imtiyaz Khan, a local, tweeted.

“Our bad luck is that we always remain in hardships throughout life. If these students miss the exam, who is responsible then? Better was to allow them by foot today or open the road as soon as possible. Requesting to higher-ups, please save the future of our students of Gurez,” Samoon Irshad another local said.

Similarly, Javid lone, a resident of Karnah, said that many job aspirants who are supposed to appear in the upcoming JKSSB examination are also waiting to get airlifted from the Karnah area so that they can appear in the examination. “I hope the government takes good steps in this regard,” he added.

While appealing to the government to airlift them from their respective snow-bound areas to district headquarters, they said that they are waiting for the immediate steps of the government.

Meanwhile, officials said that efforts are on to airlift them at the earliest so that they will attend exams without any hesitation. — (KNO)
