JAMMU — At least two Army porters were injured in a landmine explosion near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu region on Sunday.
The landmine explosion took place in forward Kalal area of Nowshera sector on Saturday, Officials said according to PTI.
Two Army porters namely Raj Kumar and Ashwani Kumar, both residents of Mangiote village in Rajouri district received splinter injuries in the explosion and they were shifted to a hospital for treatment, they said.
As part of an anti-infiltration obstacle system, the forward areas are dotted with landmines which sometimes get washed away by rains resulting in such types of accidents, they said.
