Lashkar militant associate arrested in Bandipora, says police

BANDIPORA (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested an associate of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant outfit in Aloosa area of Bandipora district in North Kashmir.

Police in a statement said, Bandipora Police along with 26 RR & 3rd Bn CRPF arrested a militant associate of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) near Canal Road in Aloosa area of Bandipora district during naka checking.

The statement said that arms and ammunition including one live Chinese Grenade & 12 live AK-47 Bullets were recovered from his possession.

A case has been registered under the relevant sections of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) in Police Station Bandipora and further investigation has been taken up. — (KIMS)
