HANDWARA — A minor boy was on Sunday late evening mauled to death by a leopard in Rajpora area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
An official told the news agency Kashmir News Observer that a 7-year-old boy was attacked by the leopard in forest area outside his home.
He said that the boy identified as Yasir Bashir son of Bashir Ahmad of Golipora Rajwar was critically injured in the incident.
He added that the boy later succumbed to his injuries.
The official added that a man-hunt has been launched in the near to track the leopard. — (KNO)
