SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Kulgam district in which a labourer from Chhattisgarh was killed and another injured.
In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor said he spoke with Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat and other senior security officials following the attack.
Sinha termed the attack a cowardly act and said he has directed the security forces to intensify anti-terror operations and eliminate the terrorists responsible for the attack.
He said the Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The Lieutenant Governor said the injured labourer from Chhattisgarh has been shifted to a hospital for urgent medical treatment. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Sinha also said the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the entire nation stand in solidarity with the affected families. — (KIMS)
