SRINAGAR (KIMS) — J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday visited Lalpora in Beerwah area of Budgam district to meet the family of Police Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi who was killed in Anantnag terror attack.
Paying tribute to the slain policeman, the Lieutenant Governor said Ashiq Hussain Qureshi’s courage and supreme sacrifice would forever inspire the nation. He said the country salutes his unwavering devotion to duty and stands firmly with his bereaved family.
The LG reiterated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the J&K Police, Army and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) are continuing sustained operations to dismantle the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
He added that the legacy of service, patriotism and sacrifice left behind by martyr Ashiq Hussain Qureshi would continue to guide efforts towards building a peaceful, prosperous and developed Jammu and Kashmir. — (KIMS)
