Light to moderate rain at many places of J&K from July 15-17: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Thursday forecast rain at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir till Friday.

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, The weather will remain mainly dry in Jammu and Kashmir till Friday. A brief spell of rain or thunderstorm at isolated places can’t be ruled out during this period, he said.

He said, Intermittent light to moderate rain is expected at many places of Jammu and Kashmir from July 15-17, 2023.

Meanwhile, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 17.6°C, Anantnag 16.8°C, Qazigund 17.0°C, Kupwara 15.5°C, Kokernag 16.5°C, Gulmarg 11.6°C and Pahalgam 10.3°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Thursday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 25.9°C, Katra 22.3°C, Batote 18.5°C, Bhaderwah 16.3°C, Banihal 18.7°C, Udhampur 23.2°C and Patnitop 18.4°C as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 11.3°C and Kargil 10.6°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
