Light to moderate rain, snow likely in J&K during next 24 hours: MeT

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Wednesday forecast widespread light to moderate rain and snow in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.

The weather was inclement in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, widespread light to moderate rain/snow is likely in J&K during the next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar recorded 6.4 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 0.6 degrees Celsius while Gulmarg recorded minus 2.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 14.2 degrees Celsius, Katra 12.5 degrees Celsius, Batote 6.8 degrees Celsius, Banihal and Bhaderwah 5.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Drass recorded minus 8.6 degrees Celsius, Kargil minus 3.6 degrees Celsius and Leh minus 5.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
