ANANTNAG (KIMS) — Late Rameez Raja T10, Casco cricket tournament which was organized by locals in Ara- Koshipora of Anantnag District culminated with a colourful closing ceremony after the final match of the tournament was played between Sultan Warriors Koshipora and HILL Cricket Club at Sports Ground Ara Koshipora.
Social Activist Ashaq Hussain Bhat was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Senior citizens and dignitaries also participated in the ceremony as the guest of honors.
Pertinently, Sixteen teams from adjacent areas participated in the tournament with great enthusiasm, and passion.
The final match of the tournament was played between HILL Cricket Club and Sultan Warriors Koshipora.
In Final Match HILL Cricket Club Won the toss and Choose to bowl first.Bating first Sultan Warriors put a respectable total of 118 runs on the board for the loss of 7 wickets, wherein Bilal Ahmad scored 49 in 19 Balls and Momin Archer added 30.For HILL, CC Nadeem,Muneeb and Ubaid all took 2 wickets.
In reply HILL Cricket Club fell short of 77 runs.Only Sujan Ahmad played a fiery knock of 21 runs. For Sultan Warriors, Sahadat bagged 3 wickets while as owais picked 2 wickets and won Trophy by 77 Runs. Bilal ahmad of Sultan Warriors who scored 49 runs was declared as man of the match,Sujan Ahmad as Man of the Tournament,Momin Archer as Best Bowler of the tournament.
On the occasion, Social Activist Ashaq Hussain Bhat was extended appreciations to both the teams for playing the final stage and also congratulated the winning team. He also presented trophies to the winner and runner up teams.
The Winner team were awarded with Trophies, and Cash Prize of 8,000/- and 4,000/- for Runner up team respectively. Moreover, the Man of the series, Best Bowler etc were also awarded with Cash Prize.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that every initiative is being taken to provide a platform to youth and guiding them to follow their goals adding that only Sports can keep youth away from drugs.
Meanwhile, the management has announced that the another tournament will be organised soon. — (KIMS)
