JAMMU — A man was arrested Monday after he “intentionally” fired three rounds in the air from his licensed 12-bore gun on the outskirts of Jammu, police said.
Jatinder Singh Salaria, a resident of Khour Deonian, was booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act, a police spokesman said.
He said Salaria fired three rounds intentionally from his gun in his village, creating fear among the people.
Special police teams rushed to the spot after getting information about the incident and arrested the accused along with the weapon, the spokesman said. — (PTI)
