Manpreet Singh Mani joins ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ led by Rahul Gandhi

NEW DELHI (KIMS) — ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’, the second leg of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi led ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ commenced on January 14, 2024 (Sunday) from Thoubal district of Manipur.

The 66-day ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ (journey) will span a distance of 6,200 kilometers covering 14 states and 85 districts before finally concluding in Mumbai in March.

The aim of this yatra is to fight against injustices such as unemployment, inflation, the rich-poor divide and issues related to farmers.

The yatra was flagged off by the Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge along with several other party leaders.

Manpreet Singh, the young leader of the party from Jammu and Kashmir joined the yatra (journey) from Manipur. He will be along with former Congress President Rahul Gandhi till the culmination of yatra in Mumbai.

Manpreet, the All India Youth Congress Joint Secretary has been active in politics from last several years and has worked for the party at both at state and national level.

Manpreet worked as Office Incharge J&K before being appointed as All India Youth Congress Joint Secretary. He is incharge of Ladakh & Chhattisgarh Youth Congress.

Manpreet hails from Tral area of Pulwama district. He is vocal about the rights of Youth of the country especially J&K.

Last year, Manpreet was seen along with Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders in different states of the Country during the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. He was largely seen walking along with Rahul Gandhi on the roads of Jammu Kashmir during the yatra.

‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, of which the aim was ‘to fight against communalism, unemployment, hatred, inflation, and political centralisation’ was led by Rahul Gandhi from Kanyakumari on September 7, 2022 and culminated in Srinagar on January 31, 2023.

The yatra passed through 12 states spanning a distance of nearly 3500 kilometers in 150 days. — (KIMS)
