ANANTNAG – One day Covid awareness programme was organised by 18 Rashtriya Rifles Rajrif Company at Ranipora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.
Army’s 18 Rashtriya Rifles Rajrif Company takes up an initiative “Mask Up Kashmir” awareness programme, a comprehensive effort to encourage people in Ranipora and its adjacent areas to wear masks (that cover the mouth and nose properly) to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
Entitled #MaskUpKashmir based on Let’s Mask up and maintain Social distance as a preventive measure can safe from pandemic disease.
“This virus doesn’t care where you live or who you are, and it isn’t going away any time soon. The hope is through this cooperation in the community will understand that we are all in this together and must work together to protect those who are most vulnerable in our community.”
An army official said, “Let’s take these simple steps to protect each other from COVID-19 Virus,” adding, “We want our community to be able to enjoy. We have to offer them, and wearing a mask is the one thing we can all easily do to help get things back to normal.”
“Physical distancing and regularly washing hands, masking up is the easiest way to slow the spread of COVID-19. Masks are most likely to reduce the spread of COVID-19 when they are widely used by people in public settings,” he added.
