MeT forecasts cloudy sky, chances of light rain, thundershowers in J&K during next 24 hours

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department on Thursday forecast cloudy sky with chances of light rain, thundershowers in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.

The weather was dry and cloudy in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, Sky is expected to remain cloudy with chances of light rain/thundershowers in J&K during the next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar recorded 6.6 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 0.8 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg 0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Thursday.

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 18.5 degrees Celsius, Katra 15.2 degrees Celsius, Batote 9.0 degrees Celsius, Banihal 7.0 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 6.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Kargil recorded 0.5 degrees Celsius while Drass and Leh recorded minus 4.0 degrees Celsius and minus 3.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
