MeT forecasts cloudy weather with rain, thunder in J&K from April 26

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Tuesday forecast cloudy weather with rain and thunder at most places in Jammu and Kashmir from April 26-30.

According to an official from the Meteorological Department (MeT), “Expect generally dry weather with a chance of afternoon or evening thundershowers and the possibility of hailstorm activity at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir from April 23-25.”

“Anticipate generally cloudy weather conditions with light to moderate rain or snow, particularly over higher reaches, accompanied by thunder and lightning across most places of Jammu and Kashmir from April 26-28, while light rain with thunder is expected at many places from April 29-30,” he said.

“Generally dry weather is expected in Jammu and Kashmir from May 1-3,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 8.2°C, Qazigund 5.4°C, Kupwara 6.2°C, Kokernag 5.5°C, Gulmarg 1.0°C, and Pahalgam 2.4°C as the Minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Tuesday.

The Winter capital, Jammu recorded 19.1°C, Katra 17.2°C, Batote 11.1°C, Bhaderwah 7.4°C and Banihal 9.0°C as the Minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 2.0°C and Kargil 4.6°C as the Minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
