MeT forecasts generally cloudy weather in J&K for next 24 hours

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Thursday forecast generally cloudy weather in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.

The weather was dry and clear in the Union Territory during last 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, Generally cloudy sky with possibility of light rain is likely in J&K during the next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar recorded 5.2 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg zero degrees Celsius while Pahalgam recorded minus 0.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Thursday.

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 13.8 degrees Celsius, Katra 11.3 degrees Celsius, Batote 6.3 degrees Celsius, Banihal 4.2 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 4.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Drass recorded minus 7.1 degrees Celsius, Kargil minus 1.7 degrees Celsius and Leh minus 4.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
