MeT forecasts light rain, snowfall at isolated, scattered to fairly widespread places till Nov 30

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Sunday forecast light rain and snowfall at isolated places and at scattered to fairly widespread places of Jammu and Kashmir till November 30th.

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, “Currently, the weather is cloudy at most places of Jammu and Kashmir. The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy today.”

He said, “The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy with light rain and snowfall at isolated places of Jammu and Kashmir from November 27th to 28th.”

He said, “The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy with light rain and snowfall at scattered to fairly widespread places of Jammu and Kashmir from November 29th to 30th.”

He said, “The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in Jammu and Kashmir from December 1st to 5th.”

He said, “Slight improvement in minimum temperature is observed over many stations of Kashmir division due to cloudiness. Shallow to moderate fog is likely to continue till November 28th over many places of the region.”

Meanwhile, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 0.0°C, Qazigund 0.6°C, Kupwara minus 0.7°C, Kokernag 1.5°C, Gulmarg 0.5°C and Pahalgam minus 1.8°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Sunday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 11.7°C, Katra 11.4°C, Batote 7.2°C, Bhaderwah 4.7°C and Banihal 3.8°C as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded minus 7.0°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
