MeT forecasts light rain, thundershowers in J&K

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Monday forecast light rain, thundershowers in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.

The weather was dry in the Union Territory yesterday.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, light rain/thundershowers are likely in J&K during the next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar recorded 5.3 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam 1.7 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg 0.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature today.

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 15.5 degrees Celsius, Katra 13.6 degrees Celsius, Batote 9.1 degrees Celsius, Banihal 6.2 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 7.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Drass recorded minus 1.3 degrees Celsius and Leh minus 2.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
