MeT forecasts rain, snow in J&K; Dry weather expected from March 5

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department on Sunday predicted light to moderate rain and snowfall at isolated places across Jammu and Kashmir over the next 24 hours.

Some areas, particularly in higher altitudes, may experience intermittent snowfall, while the plains could receive light rainfall.

According to the data, widespread light to moderate rain and snow are expected in parts of Jammu and Kashmir over the next two days. However, the precipitation is likely to be scattered, affecting some areas rather than the entire Union Territory.

From March 5, weather conditions are expected to improve, with predominantly dry weather prevailing across Jammu and Kashmir until March 8.

Meanwhile, Srinagar recorded 2.3°C, Kupwara -1.2°C, Gulmarg -7.5°C, Pahalgam -4.7°C and Kokernag 0.4°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir division on Sunday.

In Jammu Division, Jammu recorded 9.8°C, Katra 11.2°C, Batote 5.2°C, Banihal 3.3°C and Bhaderwah 2.9°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
