MeT forecasts rain, snow in J&K for next 24 hours

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department office on Thursday forecast scattered to widespread rain/snow in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Scattered to widespread rain/snow is likely in J&K during the next 24 hours,” IANS quoted an official of the MeT department as having said.

He said Srinagar recorded minus 3.2 degrees Celsius, Pahalgam minus 4.5 degrees Celsius and Gulmarg minus 4.8 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Jammu region he said, Jammu recorded 6.0 degrees Celsius, Katra 7.6 degrees Celsius, Batote 2.1 degrees Celsius, Bhaderwah 0.6 degrees Celsius and Banihal minus 0.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region he said, Kargil recorded minus 10.8 degrees Celsius and Leh recorded minus 12.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.
