SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Saturday forecast rainy weather in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir till the end of this month.
An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, “Today, April 27, expect generally cloudy weather with light to moderate rain and snow in higher reaches, accompanied by heavy rain, thunder, lightning, and hailstorms at isolated places.”
He said, “From April 28-29, Jammu and Kashmir will continue to experience cloudy weather with light to moderate rain and snow, particularly in higher reaches. Thunder, lightning, hailstorms, and gusty winds are expected at few places, with the possibility of heavy rain over isolated areas, especially on April 28 and 29.”
He said, “On April 30, anticipate generally cloudy weather with light rain and thunder at many places of Jammu and Kashmir.”
He said, “From May 1-5, generally dry weather is expected across Jammu and Kashmir.”
Meanwhile, the Summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 10.5°C, Qazigund 8.4°C, Kupwara 8.1°C, Kokernag 7.9°C, Gulmarg 2.4°C, and Pahalgam 6.3°C as the Minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Saturday.
The Winter capital, Jammu recorded 19.3°C, Katra 16.3°C, Batote 9.7°C, Bhaderwah 9.8°C and Banihal 10.2°C as the Minimum temperature in Jammu region.
In Ladakh region, Leh recorded minus 2.4°C and Kargil 7.6°C as the Minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
