MeT forecasts scattered light to moderate rain in J&K

SRINAGAR — The Meteorological Department on Monday forecast scattered light to moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.

The weather was inclement in the Union Territory during last 24 hours.

An official of the Meteorological Department said, Scattered light to moderate rain is likely in J&K during the next 24 hours.

He said, Srinagar recorded 7.2 degrees Celsius and Pahalgam 2.6 degrees Celsius while Gulmarg recorded minus 0.6 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Monday.

In Jammu region, he said, Jammu recorded 14.7 degrees Celsius, Katra 14.1 degrees Celsius, Batote 6.9 degrees Celsius, Banihal 6.2 degrees Celsius and Bhaderwah 7.0 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature.

In Ladakh region, he said, Drass recorded minus 1.1 degrees Celsius, Kargil minus 4.2 degrees Celsius and Leh minus 1.5 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
