KISHTWAR — Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmed on Monday visited the bereaved family of the minor rape and murder victim at Gurinal in Chatroo and expressed his condolences over the tragic incident.
During his visit, Ahmed conveyed his solidarity with the family and assured them of all possible support during the difficult time. He said every possible effort would be made to ensure justice for the victim.
The MP later visited the victim’s father, who is undergoing treatment at District Hospital Kishtwar, and enquired about his health. He also assured the family that the matter would be taken up with the concerned authorities and pursued to ensure justice.
The visit comes amid demands for strict action against those responsible for the crime. — (KIMS)
