SRINAGAR — A militant was killed in a brief encounter between government forces and militants at Astan Marg area of Kausarnag in Kulgam district of South Kashmir on Thursday.
According to police, an encounter took place at Asthan Marg in general area of Kausarnag, Kulgam district in which one militant got killed.
Search operation was still going on in the area.
The identification and affiliation of the slain militant was yet to be ascertained.
Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, “An encounter took place at Asthan Marg in general area of Kausarnag, Kulgam district in which one militant got killed. Search still going on. Further details shall follow.” — (KIMS)
