SHOPIAN — Militants have managed to give slip to government forces in an encounter at Baskuchan village in Shopian district of South Kashmir on Tuesday.
The encounter had broke out between government forces and militants at Baskuchan village of the district on Monday. However their was complete lull after the initial exchange of fire.
The militants managed to have escaped from the site taking advantage of the darkness.
Earlier a joint team of government forces including Indian Army, J&K Police and CRPF had launched Cordon-and-Search-Operation (CASO) at Baskuchan village in Shopian district following the inputs about presence of militants in the area. — (KIMS)
