Militants give slip to forces in Kulgam encounter

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The militants have managed to give slip to government forces in an encounter at Hadigam village in Kulgam district of South Kashmir on Thursday.

The encounter had broke out between government forces and militants at Hadigam village of the district on Wednesday evening. However their was complete lull after the initial exchange of fire and the operation was halted for night due to darkness.

The operation was resumed on Thursday morning. However, the militants managed to escape from the site of encounter after which the operation was called off.

Earlier, a joint team of government forces including Indian Army, J&K Police and CRPF had launched Cordon-and-Search-Operation (CASO) at Hadigam village in Kulgam district following the inputs about presence of militants in the area. — (KIMS)
