SOPORE — Sopore Police have recovered a missing girl from Laiser area of Rafiabad within 36 hours of receiving a complaint, officials said on Wednesday.
According to police, Police Station Dangiwacha received a complaint on October 19 regarding the girl’s disappearance. Acting promptly, a police team was constituted to trace her.
With the help of technical assistance and human intelligence, the police successfully traced and recovered the girl within 36 hours.
After completing the required legal formalities, she was safely handed over to her family, police said.
Meanwhile, police have urged social media users and page administrators who shared the girl’s photograph to delete it immediately and refrain from sharing it further to protect her privacy. — (KIMS)
