Missing soldier from Kulgam recovered, says ADGP Kashmir

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — An army soldier who went missing from Asthal village in Kulgam district last month has been recovered by police in Kulgam district on Thursday.

Quoting Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, Missing Army jawan has been recovered by Kulgam Police.

A joint interrogation of the soldier will start shortly after medical checkup, the tweet said.

On July 30, an army soldier namely Javid Ahmad Wani, son of Muhammad Ayoub Wani, a resident of Asthal area of Kulgam had gone to Chawalgam for purchasing some food items in his Alto car when he went missing.

The family members of the missing soldier had made appeals to public to return their son home. — (KIMS)
