SRINAGAR — Haziq Parvez Lone, a young student from Trenz village in Shopian district of South Kashmir has scored all India rank 10th in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2022 examination, a result of which was declared on Wednesday by the National Testing Agency.
Haziq also becomes the topper from Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory by scoring 710 marks.
The NEET-UG exam was held on July 17, 2022 in pen and paper mode in 13 languages including Urdu.
“I was expecting that I would crack the NEET but getting 10th rank was beyond my expectations. I couldn’t believe that when I came to know that I am figuring in the top-10 list,” news agency KNO quoted Haziq as having said.
He said, “I am thankful to Almighty Allah for bestowing me with success. My success wouldn’t have been possible without the support and efforts of parents and teachers of Aakash Institute Srinagar, especially Rohin Jain who taught us physics there.”
“My dream was to become a doctor which is now going to come true. I will choose neurology branch and become a neurologist,” he added.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) congratulated Haziq for his success.
JKSA in a tweet said, “Congratulations to Haziq Parvaiz Lone from Tranz Shopian area of J&K for getting AI-Rank 10 with 710 points in NEET 2022 with hard work, determination & perseverance. Pride moment for the whole J&K. J&K students are proving their metal & shinning in every field.” — (KIMS)
