No power in universe can bring back Article 370: Narendra Modi

NEW DELHI — Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, making a strong defence of the scrapping of Article 370, said no power in the universe could restore the revoked provisions of the Constitution.

He said, “The scrapping of Article 370, which provided special status to Jammu and Kashmir was necessary for the development of the people and ease of their life.”

“Following the abrogation of Article 370, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are transformed places, thronged by tourists instead of terrorists. Movies are being shot and screened, while stone-pelting has ceased. Kashmiri families have welcomed the change. As for those who are spreading confusion because of their political motives, I want to make it clear: no power in this universe can bring back Article 370,” Modi said in an interview to Dainik Jagran.

He said, “The abrogation of Article 370 was more important for the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh than any politics. It was captured by some family members due to their political interests.”
