Partly cloudy weather in J&K for next 24 hours: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast partly cloudy weather in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.

The weather was cloudy in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

Today, the weather will remain partly cloudy in Jammu and Kashmir, an official of the Meteorological Department said.

He said, Generally cloudy weather with rain and thunderstorm at scattered places with possibility of hailstorm and gusty winds at few places towards late afternoon or evening is expected in Jammu and Kashmir on May 17-18.

He said, From May 19-23, Partly cloudy weather with light rain at few places towards late afternoon or evening is expected in Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 10.7°C, Qazigund 7.4°C, Anantnag and Kupwara each 7.2°C, Gulmarg 5.8°C, Pahalgam 3.5°C and Kokernag 8.4°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Tuesday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 23.2°C, Katra 20.1°C, Batote 14.9°C, Bhaderwah 9.8°C, Banihal 10.5°C, Udhampur 17.2°C and Patnitop 14.8°C as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 0.8°C and Kargil 5.0°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
