Partly cloudy weather in J&K till Nov 2: MeT

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Wednesday forecast partly cloudy weather in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir till November 2.

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, “The weather will remain mainly clear to partly cloudy in Jammu and Kashmir from October 25 to 28, 2023.”

He said, “The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy with light rain and snowfall over isolated higher reaches of the Union Territory on October 29 while the weather will remain partly cloudy from October 30 and 31.”

He said, “The weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in the Union Territory from November 1 and 2.“

Meanwhile, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar and Anantnag each recorded 3.2°C, Qazigund 3.4°C, Kupwara 2.0°C, Kokernag 4.1°C, Gulmarg 0.5°C and Pahalgam minus 0.5°C as the minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Wednesday.

The winter capital Jammu recorded 14.5°C, Katra 13.4°C, Batote 9.6°C, Bhaderwah 5.8°C and Banihal 6.8°C as the minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded minus 3.6°C and Kargil 0.2°C as the minimum temperature. — (KIMS)
