Police attaches ₹1.30 crore shopping complex of alleged drug peddler in Anantnag

ANANTNAG — Police has attached a double-storey shopping complex worth approximately ₹1.30 crore under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in Dooru area of Anantnag district, officials said on Sunday.

The property belongs to Mohammad Amin Sofi, son of Abdul Rahim Sofi, a resident of Patikhas, Verinag, who is allegedly involved in multiple NDPS cases registered at Police Station Dooru.

The attachment has been carried out under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act as part of the police’s ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking and narcotics-related activities.

Officials said the action aims to dismantle the financial networks of drug peddlers and target properties allegedly acquired through proceeds linked to narcotics-related activities, in accordance with the law. — (KIMS)
