Police attaches property of drug peddler worth crores in Budgam

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday have attached the immovable property of a known drug peddler in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The attached property a four-storey shopping complex comprising of around 40 shops at village Nadigam and around six canals of land situated at village Chek Wazir Panoo belongs to Ghulam Ahmad Dar S/o Ghulam Mohammad Dar R/o Nadigam Tehsil Narbal District Budgam.

The property worth mentioning the market value of the said property is around 3.5 crores. This action has been carried out under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in connection with Case FIR No. 198/2019 registered under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Budgam.

The case pertains to the recovery of commercial quantity of contraband substances Codeine Phosphate and poppy straw from the possession of the accused. — (KIMS)
