Police attaches property worth Rs 5 crores under UAPA Act in Anantnag

SRINAGAR (KIMS) — In a major operation, Jammu and Kashmir Police attached a residential property worth ₹5 crores under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 in Anantnag district of South Kashmir on Monday.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police attached a double-storey residential property along with 1 kanal and 10 marlas of land under Survey No. 5419/561 of Firdous Ahmad Bhat of Hugam Lonepora, Srigufwara in Case FIR No. 57/2024 of Police Station Mattan.

The attachment was executed in the presence of a duly constituted Police team and the Executive Magistrate, ensuring full compliance with legal protocols.

“This action represents a significant milestone in the ongoing investigation into unlawful and subversive activities in the region. It highlights the firm commitment of Anantnag Police to neutralize threats to National security and maintain peace and order,” police said in a statement.
