Police cracks Baramulla wine shop attack case; 4 militants, 1 associate arrested

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday said it cracked the case of recent militant attack on wine shop in Baramulla district in North Kashmir and arrested four militants and one associate of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant outfit. Besides it recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.

On Tuesday, militants lobbed grenade on wine shop at Dewan Bagh locality in Baramulla district. In the attack, one person was killed and three others were injured.

Police said that arms and ammunition including 5 pistols, 23 grenades, explosive were recovered from their possession.

Kashmir Zone Police quoted Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar saying, “This militant module was involved in several terror incidents in Baramulla. Investigation going on”. — (KIMS)
